The Polar Explorer Icebreaker offers a 3-hour icebreaker cruise in the frozen water of the Bothnian Sea in Lapland. Shuttle bus transfer from Rovaniemi and buffet lunch will be served in a traditional Swedish fishing village.

Onboard you can take a tour all the way down from the engine rooms and up to Captain’s bridge. There are multilingual guides onboard as well as an audio-guide available in 18 languages. You can also visit the cinema where a 12-minute film is running non-stop during the entire cruise. The film is a visualization of how an icebreaker works and explains the difference between an icebreaker and other ships. You can also relax in the cozy salon with a hot drink. The icebreaker makes a pool free of ice and every visitor can take a swim in the dark icy water in a flotation survival suit. The captain will present Cruise & Swim Certificate to everyone as a memorable gift.

Lunch is served either after the morning cruise or before the afternoon cruise in a restaurant onshore.
